Arnold Schwarzenegger's New Electric G-Wagen Does 0-60 in 5.6 Silent Seconds


There's a reason the Mercedes G-Wagen is so popular in California. Celebrities love to drive them around thanks to their upright, rugged looks. But since its design is over 30 years old, it's a notorious gas-guzzler. Now though, thanks to Austrian battery company and car customizer Kreisel Electric, Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger owns perhaps the world's greenest G-wagen-an all-electric model making 482 horsepower.
Kreisel Electric engineers batteries and drivetrain software for electric automobiles. In addition to its various standalone systems available, Kreisel also offers custom-built electric cars to customers. To promote its latest creation, Kreisel asked Schwarzenegger if it could transform his personal Mercedes G-Wagen into an all electric car. Clearly, he said yes.
